Be heard, validated, and understood
Someone to talk to about a friendship
Friendships end without any of the ceremony that other endings get. Nobody sits you down. There is no announcement, no reason given, no date you can point to. Someone simply replies more slowly, and then not at all, and you are left deciding whether to be hurt about something that may not have happened.
That is why it is so hard to talk about. There is no event to describe. Saying "I think my friend is done with me" out loud sounds like insecurity, and the only people who could confirm it are the ones you cannot ask. So you check whether they have posted, and you do not say anything to anyone.
The loss is real even when nothing dramatic happened, and it deserves more than being carried quietly. You can say it here without it sounding pathetic, because nobody is judging and nobody will remember.
What a session is
Twenty minutes, anonymous, one payment, no account. You write; an AI trained for one thing — listening — hears you out. It does not rush to advice. If you want to think through what to do, it will; if you only want to be heard, it only listens. When the time is up you get a takeaway card, and everything else disappears. Nothing you say is stored, ever.
