Be heard, validated, and understood

Someone to tell the thing you did

Every other kind of hard conversation is about what someone did to you. This one is the other way round, and it is much harder to start.

People have always needed somewhere to say it. That is why confession outlasted the institutions that ran it — not because anyone believed a stranger could undo the thing, but because saying it out loud to someone who does not recoil is its own relief, and there is nowhere ordinary to do that. Tell a friend and you have changed how they see you, permanently. Tell family and it travels. Tell the person you wronged and you may be handing them your weight to carry so that you feel lighter, which is sometimes repair and sometimes just a transfer.

So it stays in. And the longer it stays in, the vaguer it gets — which sounds like relief and is the opposite. 'I was awful to her' can be carried for twenty years. The actual sentence you said cannot; it is specific, and specific things are smaller than the shapes they cast.

You will not be absolved here, and you will not be told it was fine. Both of those would be cheap, and you would know it. You also will not be judged, or asked what you are going to do about it, or told what kind of person this makes you. Someone will simply hear the whole thing without flinching, and then forget it completely.

What a session is

Twenty minutes, anonymous, one payment, no account. You write; an AI trained for one thing — listening — hears you out. It does not rush to advice. If you want to think through what to do, it will; if you only want to be heard, it only listens. When the time is up you get a takeaway card, and everything else disappears. Nothing you say is stored, ever.
