Someone to talk to after a breakup

There is a window after a breakup where you need to say the same things many more times than anyone around you wants to hear them. Friends are generous for about two weeks. After that you start noticing the pause before they answer, and you begin editing yourself, which is the point at which you stop actually saying anything.

The other problem is that friends take sides, and they take yours. That is kind and it is not always what you need, because it means you cannot say the confusing parts out loud — that you miss them, that some of it was your fault, that you are not sure you want it to be over. Saying that to someone who has spent a month telling you that you are better off is exhausting in a different way.

This is a place to say the version you have been editing out. It is 2am and nobody is tired of you here.

What a session is

Twenty minutes, anonymous, one payment, no account. You write; an AI trained for one thing — listening — hears you out. It does not rush to advice. If you want to think through what to do, it will; if you only want to be heard, it only listens. When the time is up you get a takeaway card, and everything else disappears. Nothing you say is stored, ever.
